He studied art as an autodidact. He regards Sándor Körösi Csoma and Béla Kondor as his spiritual masters. His works of lyrical sensibility or full of dramatic tension are often inspired by poetic works, such as the works of Attila József, Miklós Radnóti, László Nagy, János Pilinszky, or outstanding works of visual art (Rembrandt) and cinematography (Tarkovsky).
Awards:
National Graphic Biennale: 1983; (Condor Badge), 1985, 1987, 1989; Salgótarján Biennial for Drawings: 1984; Spring Exhibition Salgótarján: 1982, 1983, 1985, 1989; Tihany Small Graphic Biennale: 1987 and 1989. He also deals with medals and small sculptures, at the Sopron Biennale of Medal Art in 1989 and 1991, in the XXIV. He received the Best Hungarian Medal award at FIDEM (Hungarian National Gallery, 1994). His graphics appeared in the Széchenyi graphics portfolio (1989) and the 100-year cinema film portfolio (1996-1997). 2006: Munkácsy Prize.
