Hungarian painter. 1975-1979 studies at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. Graduated in 1979. His masters: Sváby Lajos, Kokas Ignác. From 1980 onwards he worked full-time as a painter, from 2008 onwards, in addition to his artistic work, he worked as an art teacher at the Catholic High School in St. Gellért. He began his career with gesture painting and various material experiments. Classical painting often collides with special techniques and the use of foreign materials (cellophane, pen, plastic, x-ray finds). In the 80s he painted with the classic materials of painting, made large, figurative oil paintings, which were characterized by art-historical style or paraphases of a concrete artwork, with free variations, in an expressive style. This also includes the monumental series “Hommage a Blöckin”, exhibited in 1986. His painting belongs to the Hungarian trans-avangarde painting in the 80s, more precisely to the so-called “subjective historicism”. In the 1990s, maintaining the historical concept, the free expressive style was replaced by a more concentrated, strongly connected painter style and deep colors. More than a hundred solo exhibitions were opened from his works of art. He took part in many group exhibitions nationally and abroad. His artworks has been recognized at numerous national and international exhibitions. His artworks are located in several private and public collections. He lives and works in Budapest, is married and has three children.
